400m outdoor pool swim 20k bike 5k run
Sunday October 11,9:00am
Packet Pickup/Registration:
Saturday 2:00pm - 4:00pm ONLY under the white tents just past
the finish line at Spartan stadium entry. Sunday morning of from
7:00am - 8:00am ONLY. Registration will close at 8:00am. Transition
area and packet pickup is located in the faculty parking lot at
Spartan stadium main entry between the outdoor pool and intramural
fields on Chestnut off of Shaw streets.
will be directly across from packet pickup/registration, you must show your bib number to get your chip and strap.
Body Marking:
will be just outside of Run In/Run out.
Swim:
will be long course, 50m for one lap. Serpentine swim starting in one, back in 2, down in 3, etc. Collegiate athletes will start us off, we will seed each swimmer based on their swimming abilities. After the last Collegiate swimmer has exited the water we will get the Public race started.
Bike:
An excellent course circling the MSU campus with all Right hand turns. You will have a dedicated right lane all the way around. 3 loops will equal your 20k bike.
Run:
This run course was totally developed by your MSU Triathlon team, encompassing all the university campus has to offer taking you along the red cedar river, past several dorms, sports complexes and Sparty of course before finishing between Spartan stadium and the practive field. Definitely fast, flat, and certainly not boring the MSU Tri team did a great job. Hammer Heed and Water at each aid station at each mile.
Finish:
Following your finish you will receive a finishers medal, there will be a great post snack table compliments of your MSU Triathlon Team. Awards ceremony will start right after the last public finisher. Awards will include both individual and team collegiate awards scored cross country style. Top three each age group for the public divisions.
Proceeds:
go to the MSU Triathlon Team, it cost them a lot of money to go to Collegiate Nationals each year as they are never in places easy to get too. So please support your MSU Tri team, come out and have a great time in campus October 11 supporting one of the consistently top 20 collegiate triathlon teams in the country.

8:45am - Collegiate swim seeding, event meeting on pool deck 9:00am
- First collegiate athlete in the pool 15 minutes before last
collegiate swimmer exits the pool public seeding, event meeting 10
minutes after last collegiate swimmer exits the pool first public
athlete enters pool. Last finisher post race awards ceremony and
raffle drawing
